Hosted by the CSC U Committee Headlining this webinar for young professionals, emerging professionals (graduate assistants, graduate and undergraduate student interns and assistants, and those interested in the college athletic communications career path) were four young professionals, all leaders in their early years as athletic communicators. These young CSC members — including two who just earned CSC 30-Under-30 awards, Baylor’s Shelby Hild and Davidson’s Dani Gariglio —lead the discussion on helping elevate yourself; offering advice and takeaways on how to prepare for interviews, enhance your resume, highlight your work, and build connections. They also answered numerous questions from the attendees as it concerned their “next career steps,” making an impression, improving their personal brand. The CSC U Committee provides educational resources for new college athletic communications and creative professionals (those with 0-3 years of experience) and graduate assistants, graduate and undergraduate interns and students - and those from other industries. They also work on recruiting young professionals and students to our industry. The CSC U professional development series is focused on issues and education for young and aspiring sports communicators.
