The St. Tammany Parish coroner verifies the identity of the elderly man whose remains were found stuffed inside an ice chest in a Slidell-area apartment on Tuesday night through DNA. The man, who investigators believe was born in 1928, was left in a 160-quart cooler kept in his daughter's residence on the 100 block of South Military Road. The man, Charles Fisher has been positively identified and apparently born in 1928, may have been dead for months or even years before his 58-year-old daughter and her roommate reported his death.
