Starting out at Kmart in his student days gave Carey a grounding in customer service, studying and working as a civil engineer gave him another perspective - and now he combines them with a boat load of experience, a thirst for learning and a willingness to not be right all of the time to head up an award-winning culture at Shellharbour in New South Wales.
