In this episode, Erica shares the magic of her transformative journey. She grew up in California, raised by a single mother who lived in a hippie commune on Haight-Ashbury in San Francisco. Her childhood was nomadic and carefree, marked by frequent moves around the Bay Area as her mother worked to make ends meet.
In 9th grade, they relocated to the Central Valley, where alcohol and other substances became even more accessible. Despite facing toxic relationships and struggling with an eating disorder, Erica managed to graduate high school.
As an adult, she entered the corporate world, where alcohol was deeply ingrained in the culture. Later, she found herself in the throes of the “mommy wine culture.”
Everything changed on Thanksgiving in 2023, when Erica, bedridden with the flu, came across an ad for "The 30-Day Experiment with Annie Grace" while scrolling through Facebook. Though she had contemplated taking a break from alcohol for years, she had never committed. This time was different. And you'll have to listen to the episode to know why!
Today, Erica embraces an alcohol-free lifestyle and is passionate about helping others do the same. As a certified This Naked Mind and Affective Liminal Psychology Coach, she guides people in overcoming negative behaviors and beliefs, empowering them to discover their authentic selves.
