In today's episode, the construction of the liquefied natural gas terminal in Vasilikos will proceed and be completed despite the withdrawal of the Chinese consortium of companies from the project, Energy Minister George Papanastasiou assured on Sunday.

Meanwhile, Cyprus “will likely take crucial and bold decisions” in the coming months, President Nikos Christodoulides said on Saturday night speaking before an event at the presidential palace to mark 50 years since the Turkish invasion.

Elsewhere, as the hot summer continues unabated in Cyprus, the Water Department said the islands dams are only 36.8 per cent full, a result also of slow inflow during a dry winter.
