The Federal Constitution Is Devoid Of Islamic Construction

The Federal Constitution, the supreme law of Malaysia pursuant to Article 4 (1) of the same is devoid of Islamic construction. The then Supreme Court in Che Omar Che Soh (1988) has decisively disposed off the constitutional construction issues. The Colonial Office in June 1957 in preparation of the British Parliamentary White Paper debate on July 12, 1957 has clearly and lucidly expounded that the inclusion of the declaration of the Federation's religion does not affect the position of the Federation as a secular state.
