2024年台湾总统选举进入半年倒计时，各政党厉兵秣马加速冲刺。
民调落后的最大在野党国民党候选人侯友宜星期一晚上突然放大招，松口表示支持九二共识。侯友宜还承诺维护两岸和平，让台湾的兵役制度从一年恢复到4个月。
根据最新的民调，在台湾总统大选的三名候选人中，执政的民进党候选人赖清德的支持率是35.9%，稳定领先。在野的民众党候选人柯文哲的支持率有28.6%，而侯友宜的支持率只有17.1%。由于侯友宜选情惨淡，富商郭台铭也跃跃欲试要取而代之。在野力量整合不起来，赖清德就可以躺着当选，保送民进党继续执政。

The 2024 Taiwan presidential race intensifies as the six-month countdown begins.
Kuomintang (KMT) candidate Hou Yu-ih, who has been lagging behind in the opinion polls, suddenly expressed his support for the "1992 Consensus" on Monday night. He also promised to maintain peace across the Taiwan Strait and reduce Taiwan's military service from one year to four months.
According to the latest opinion polls, the incumbent Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) candidate Lai Ching-te is leading the race with 35.9% support. The support for Taiwan People’s Party's candidate Ko Wen-je is 28.6% while Hou is in third place at 17.1%. Due to Hou's poor performance, businessman Terry Gou has expressed his desire to replace him as KMT candidate.
