时隔九年，中国大陆国家主席习近平以及台湾前总统马英九再次见面，地点是北京人民大会堂东大厅。马英九虽已卸任，无官职在身，但仍受到北京超高规格的接待。

这是马英九第二次访问大陆。他率领的“大九学堂”台湾青年学子在4月1日启程，从台湾前往广东、陕西与北京。途中马英九多次动情。他在参观孙中山故居、到黄花岗七十二烈士墓园献花、公祭黄帝谈到“炎黄子孙的骄傲”、在万里长城唱抗日歌曲时都忍不住哽咽。

此行的高潮是4月10日下午他与习近平的会见。 马英九还口误，将文字稿中的中华民族念成了中华民国。

习马二会释放了什么信息？马英九在会面中是真口误还是假口误？在台湾民进党继续执政的现实中，国共两党强调民族认同与九二共识，能改变什么？

Chinese President Xi Jinping held rare talks with former Taiwanese president Ma Ying-jeou in Beijing on April 10. It is the first time a former leader of Taiwan has been hosted by China's top leader in Beijing, since the Kuomintang fled to Taipei in 1949. It is also the first meeting between the two men since their landmark summit in Singapore in 2015.

Ma, who was travelling in a personal capacity, called this trip a “journey of peace”. In his opening remarks, Ma made a blunder by referring to the "Chinese nation" as "Republic of China". Was Ma's slip of the tongue intentional? Did the meeting resolve differences between Beijing and Taipei?
