It’s almost the weekend - thanks for getting it started with Joe Mathieu and the GBH Morning Edition team. COVID numbers are spiking here and in other states, and we try and understand why amidst an increasingly vaccinated population. Meanwhile our New Hampshire division reports on the Granite State opening up vaccine availability to all adults. The Boston Garden welcomed back fans last night at a greatly reduced 12% capacity. Despite an overtime loss, the Bruins players did indeed appreciate hearing from the fans in person. Plus today is a big one for celebrity birthdays.
