Previously she has been curator and registrar at the Wolfsoniana in Genoa, Italy. Her research focuses primarily on twentieth-century decorative arts and design and prewar Italian architecture. She has curated or co-curated numerous exhibitions and written extensively in the field, contributing to and authoring many publications, among them Luigi Vietti. Architetture 1928–1998, Ville in Riviera tra eclettismo e razionalismo, The Birth of Rome, and Modern Dutch Design. Recently she took part in the Exhibition Advisory Committee of Italian Futurism 1909–1944 at the Guggenheim in New York. She earned undergraduate and master’s degrees in art history and German literature from the University of Genoa. In 2014 she has been named Cavaliere dell’Ordine della Stella d’Italia (Knight of the Order of the Star of Italy) by the Italian government as an expatriate promoting national prestige abroad.
