Join us at 10PM ET; 7PM PT; & 3AM UK time Saturday night for Program 1764, as we premiere new music that sits just outside our WEEKLYTOP20 in the new EP from northern New Jersey band Thank You Scientist which is out now on their own new in-house label titled Flying Jangus Records titled Plague Accommodations. Also by request we'll track the new live King Crimson release that debuts at #6 in our WEEKLYTOP20 this week titled Music Is Our Friend recorded in 2021 in both Washington D.C. and Albany, New York. We'll also continue our spotlight on new releases from the Norwegian progressive rock label Karisma Records with the new release Norwegian band Airbag and their live acoustic set recorded at Subsonic Society Studios in Oslo in the Autumn of 2020 during the Covid Pandemic to stream exclusively for their fans. Titled A Day In The Studio/Unplugged In Oslo, this unplugged fan performance debuts at #20 in our WEEKLYTOP20 this week as well.
At the start of our THIRD set, just following this week's installment of The Stargazer's Handbook, your weekly descriptive guide to the astro-heavens, we'll track the new release from legendary technical progressive metal band Cynic and their Ascension Codes release that was our biggest leap of the week in the WEEKLYTOP20 moving up thirteen spots to the #5 position from the Season Of Mist Records label. As part of our Philadelphia Progressive Rock Concert Update we'll also track the latest compilation by request from Genesis titled The Last Domino- The Hits from the Virgin Records label as they wrapped up their Philadelphia dates on Friday night and soon will make their way to New York City on Sunday night at Madison Square Garden as their US tour winds down.
We'll track birthday salutes on Program 1764 coinciding with new releases in a salute to legendary bassist Percy Jones with new music from the Moonjune Records label recently released that sees him teamed up with Tim Motzer, Alex Skolnick, and Kenny Grohowski in the two disc set titled PAKT. We'll also feature a birthday salute to David Sancious by request with music from his excellent 2020 offering titled Eyes Wide Open from the Not By Sight label that would later spawn his wonderful visit to our virtual North 13th Studios back in March of this year on Program 1721. We'll also feature a birthday salute to pianist, composer, polystrumentist, songwriter & producer in the ever enigmatic Elisa Montaldo and her latest offering that serves as a sequel to her 2015 offering Fistful Of Planets in the 2021 Part II along with a new compilation by request from Pink Floyd titled Night from the Rhino Records label in our 4th Set Space Out that also features by request the 25th anniversary of Richard Wright's Broken China from the Guardian Records label that was our overall #9 album as voted by our listeners in The GlobalProgressive Rock Network's Top 100 Of 1996 that also would spark the one & only visit from the late great icon of Pink Floyd on program that year as well.
We'll track the 26th anniversary of yet another GlobalProgressive Rock Network HOF release in the 1995 offering from Swedish powerhouse Anekdoten titled Nucleus from their in-house Virta label. Their album Nucleus would go on to dominate the gagliarchives listeners requests and atmosphere of our radio program, and the new airwaves of our then beloved FM radio station 88.9FM WBZC for over a year. It would reappear in the top spot of our WEEKLYTOP20 for a total of 9 weeks in 1996. and spend a whopping 41 weeks in the charts as a whole.
