In this world of over-paranoid self-awareness, we are still terribly prone to ignore basic safety. When you consider that unintentional accidents are the third leading cause of death in America, it seems like there is a need to address how we see our own autonomous ability to provide for our own protection. More importantly, we need to be aware that safety is a responsibility which we should accept for ourselves, not only to protect our own bodies, but to protect those around us.
