Bill C-63, the Online Harms Bill, continues to be a point of contention. Now, author Margaret Atwood has weighed in online, while sharing an article on the issue and writing “If this account of the bill is true, it’s Lettres de Cachet all over again. The possibilities for revenge false accusations + thoughtcrime stuff are sooo inviting!” Ward 2 Councillor Cameron Kroetsch is being investigated by the Ontario Civilian Police Commission for motions he made at the city council regarding police budgeting and his comments regarding how the Police Services Board reviews the annual police budget before sending it to Council for approval.
