“We don't want Idaho to have a bad reputation. This is our home state. We love our home state. It's beautiful. We pride ourselves on our nature. We pride ourselves on our wildlife. And instead, we are continuing to do things that are… that are sickening.” - Ella Driever In 1995, wolves were reintroduced to central Idaho, and in 2003 a Boise High school called Timberline officially adopted a local wolf pack. Throughout the 2000, students went on wolf tracking trips and in their wolf packs range. But in 2021, Idaho's legislature passed Senate Bill 1211, 1211 allows Idaho hunters to obtain an unlimited number of wolf tags, and it also allows Idaho's Department of Fish and Game to use taxpayer dollars to pay private contractors to kill wolves. That means bounties on wolves, including on public lands. And in 2021, the Idaho Fish and Game Commission expanded the wolf hunting season and hunting and trapping methods. So it's not too surprising to learn that also in 2021, the Timberline pack disappeared. The students, the ones that cared about wolves, at least, were devastated. A growing church located in Southwest Virginia. Expository preaching with Dr. Shea Shrader
"Church isn't just a place we go, it's a family we belong to." Today's message reminded us what it truly means to be a church member: • Submitting publicly and physically to the church • Growing spiritually through life groups • Serving in ministries and outreach • Giving generously of our resources • Walking together in love through victories and struggles As members, we're called to be active participants in God's work, not just spectators. This week, let's commit to taking one step deeper in our church involvement. Whether it's joining a life group, volunteering for a ministry, or simply attending more regularly - every act of service helps build Christ's kingdom.…
"From beasts to empires, Daniel's vision reveals God's sovereignty over history. In Daniel 7, we see a glimpse of the future through the prophet's eyes. Four wild beasts represent four kingdoms, each rising and falling in turn. But above it all sits the Ancient of Days, the eternal God who holds all of history in His hands. Remember: Where you stand today, God already knows tomorrow. His prophetic word is our lamp in dark times, guiding us until Christ's return. 'And we have the prophetic word more fully confirmed, to which you will do well to pay attention as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts.' - 2 Peter 1:19…
"You can't be in Christ without being in Church." Key takeaways: • Believe, Be Baptized, Belong, Grow, Go • Church is not a club - it's a supernatural family • Membership is about walking together towards Jesus • We're accountable to each other and to God Remember: The church isn't just a database - it's a lifelong journey of faith, support, and growth. From baby showers to funerals, we're in this together!…
