For the 120th episode of the Healthcare IT Podcast, we are taking a look at the patient experience outside of the hospital. We kick off this episode by detailing our own experiences with care outside of hospitals and clinics. Next, we share the promising technologies we’ve seen improving patient experience in other care settings. Then we discuss our worries about the potential decline in telehealth and how that will impact the patient experience. And to wrap everything up, we debate if all of this technology working on patient care from home will one day lead to everyone having an ICU in their house.

Here’s a preview of the topics and questions we discuss in this episode:

  • Can you share your own personal experience with care outside of the hospital or clinic?
  • What are some of the interesting technologies that you’ve seen be deployed that are improving the experience in other care settings (ie: not the hospital or clinic)?
  • Are you worried that the potential decline in telehealth (due to reimbursements rolling back to pre-pandemic status) will impact patient experience?
  • Will we reach a point where we have an ICU in the home?

Now, without further ado, we’re excited to share with you the next episode of the Healthcare IT Today podcast.
