Hivemind!

“You are now on the Elemental Plane of Fire…” DM Dan said, rounding off last session.

The players, myself included, quickly exchanged glances. None of us had had an experience with the Plane of Fire in any form over our D&D careers, and now we had be thrown out of the frying pan and into the fire; literally. So what do you do when the very air around you burns your lungs, when every step you take you sustain critical burns, and your are surrounded by blazing beings of flaming brilliance, gods in their own right.

The next week, like so many others, was spent planning. Survival was a lofty goal at that. Escape, all but impossible… We had defended ourselves from a dragon attack reasonably well, yet fear set in, smoldering the courage we needed to defeat the master of White Plume Mountain. But we would not go out without a fight!
