Push for Sac State to Join the Pac-12

There is a push to take Sacramento State Athletics to the next level. The SAC 12 Committee came into the spotlight a little over a month ago, with the goal of getting the Hornets to join the Pac-12 athletic conference as an FBS school. State Senator Angelique Ashby is the co-chair of the SAC 12 Committee and joins Insight with the pathway to getting into a top tier NCAA conference.

Higher Breast Cancer Deaths in Black Women

is a Chief and Associate Professor in the Division of Breast Surgery at City of Hope, with research that investigates the higher rate of breast cancer mortality among Black women, when compared to other races and ethnicities. The latest findings were published in a report from the American Cancer Society, which found that Black women have the lowest survival rate for every stage of breast cancer, and a 38% higher death rate when compared to white women.

Preston Castle Haunted House Tour

Located in Amador County, Preston Castle has stood the test of time. Built more than a century ago in Ione to rehabilitate juvenile offenders, it was almost demolished and then condemned. But this historic building has survived to this day - with eerie stories to tell. Preston Castle Foundation President Karl Knobelauch joins Insight with its history, as well as to discuss its haunted adventure tours for the month of October.
