Akshita M Bhanj Deo - Co-Owner of the 200-year-old Belgadia Palace in Mayurbhanj and Director of The Mayurbhanj Foundation In this episode we have Akshita M Bhanj Deo who has dedicated a decade to social impact, influenced by her upbringing across India, Singapore, and the US. She began in refugee resettlement with the International Rescue Committee in NYC and later joined the Wadhwani Institute of AI. Now, she\'s with Dasra\'s GivingPi, leading India\'s first family philanthropy network focused on Arts, Conservation, and Sports. A Davis scholar, she studied Political Science and Human Rights at Bard College, and is a TedX speaker and Net Zero Fellow at SPG School of Governance. With her sister, she co-owns Belgadia Palace and directs The Mayurbhanj Foundation, promoting sustainable tourism in tribal areas, recognized with awards by Travel and Leisure and TIME Magazine. Featured in various publications, they champion sustainability, indigenous arts, and youth empowerment through sports.
