×Again I listened to a Twitter space on hiring and how there is a hiring freeze in the software development industry. Is it worth to learn how to code in 2023? I don't know.
Teaching yourself to code in 2023 is a twitter space hosted by @MelkeyDev on January 1, 2023 6pm CST Since Twitter spaces are temporary stored, I managed to get a recording of most of it for preservation purposes.
At long last, this is the end of this aweful year, the worst of my life. My wife is dead of colon cancer. Two uncles died of covid. I lost two jobs and quit the last one. I have no savings. I have no motivation to do anything anymore.
I got praised on a meeting, I just hope that I get a pay raise too.
I'm on VRChat YouTube Video.

Regrets: - Assuming that everyone else is better than me at this job. - Not learning the basics.

And after a week of running the automated programs to automate my own job, I found bugs on the end user app that I cannot fix since I'm not the developer of that app. I don't have the source code so I cannot fix it. Yet I decided to disable my automation efforts for the time being and work on a graphical user interface to allow my partner to become the automaton and help me fix the problems at my job...…

This is a podcast where me and some other friends on America were talking about anime. Not a fit for this podcast, but I feel like sharing.
And I was very happy to see how much time I saved just yesterday by automating the most common problem and the reason of the majority of my phone calls. I think I'll keep doing programs to automate my main task and keep myself free. I'm afraid I won't be able to remove myself from the office, since my presence is required for human contact with other managers and paper signing.…
And there is the belief that automation will create a crisis, and that people without jobs will revel against society. The truth is that I rather lose my job and look for something else above that, than letting myself slave away doing a repetitive task just because I don't want to move on.

1 #LearnToCode #weekly #report and I'm done installing #Ubuntu @datagrip @intellijidea and #JDK #Java 14:12
And this week was a blast, I was able to install Ubuntu and the development tools I need. I'm going to be learning a lot next week and I'm going to begin building databases and apps. I hope to see you there too. Twitch Stream installing Ubuntu
And after that I decided to just keep on talking on things I want to learn rather than talk about the things I already know. I must focus on moving forward and get the skills needed to build the projects I want to build.
And I just remembered my first project as a software developer. I was more of a database administrator back in the day than a front end developer, and I'm still are today.
And that's why I talk about commitment, because you can't become a software developer, a programmer or a coder if you aren't committing your time, your effort and money. It's going to be very difficult for anyone willing to learn how to code, to be successful doing it. Don't just watch a couple Hello World videos, build something: a website, an app, a computer program, whatever. Just Build something. Don't just sit around reading books, and watching videos. It's worth it. Simon Allardice Twitter…
And for beginners I only recommend two things: Javascript, for actual programming. And Java for those who want to know what is to make money.
And I got frustrated with Manjaro the other day because I was unable to install IntelliJ Idea, the Java development kit and a visual studio code extension that was supposed to allow my (non existent) viewers on Twitch, to point out lines of code on it from the chat. Never mind that, I'm getting interested in GoLang and I'm doing some research before committing myself to learn it. I wonder if GoLang can: Connect to databases like Microsoft SQL server, Oracle 11g, MySQL, MariaDB and Postgres. Query databases, insert data into them, etc. Create, open and copy files in the file system. And lots more. Twitter: @JorgeEscobar Twitch: RicardoEscobar…
