Lloyd Suh’s The Chinese Lady centers on a woman whose culture and identity was put on display as a sideshow. The historic practice of exhibiting marginalized people as a spectacle has had deep impact on prevailing stereotypes and stigmas in American culture. Hear from a panel of local speakers as they explore the residual impacts of the sideshow on marginalized communities today.
