Two Star Trek-obsessed peeps get an opportunity to ramble about our favorite sci-fi franchise for an hour and a half. It took us 22 minutes before we even mentioned El Goonish Shive. Do prepare for a lot of gushing about random Voyager episodes, but we do actually get to talk about how El Goonish Shive's story structure and character arcs were inspired by Star Trek. As well as Friends.
You can watch Star Trek: The Original Series, The Next Generation, Deep Space Nine, and Voyager on Netflix. The classic movies are available on Amazon Plus, while the 2009 reboot series is also on Netflix. Don't ask me where to find all that fancy-pansy new stuff.
