It’s that time of year when it can be so easy to override what our bodies are asking of us, and push through in order to get things done for the holiday season. This can often leave us feeling even more run down, sick, overloaded, and frazzled.

In this episode of Multidimensional Transmissions, we’re talking about our body’s natural physiological cycles of expansion and contraction, and what can happen when we ignore our body’s needs and practices that support building more health within our system.

When our body/system is thriving and working smoothly, there is a natural contraction that happens following any expansion, output of energy, or emotional expression. This is an organic cycle that our body breathes with. An oscillation between an output of energy and an inward, recalibration period.

When we override and push through our capacity and limits within the cycle (physically, mentally, spiritually, emotionally, energetically), ignoring the need for contraction spaces, our body has a corresponding response on the other end. We crash, things break down, we get sick, get injured, feel more foggy, have more pain, exhausted, etc.

Join me as we explore how our bodies can find more wellness in embracing our cyclical nature and what we can do to support our systems to thrive during challenging times of the year.

If you find it challenging to say “no” even when you have a lot on your plate and it feels like too much, this episode is for you. If you find yourself experiencing short peaks of energy and then long periods of crashing/feeling exhausted/getting sick this episode is for you.

When we feel like we are at our busiest, this is when we need to double down on creating space for contractions, so that we don’t experience a collapse. Tune into this episode to hear more about how to honor your natural expansion and contraction cycles as you care for yourself during this winter season.
