With the beginning of the monsoon, Mumbaikars are breathing probably the healthiest air. On Friday, the city's air quality index (AQI) reached probably its best mark since the lockdown. Mumbai's Air Quality Index (AQI) was 10 on Friday (01 July 2022), the best ever recorded by the System of Air Quality-Weather Forecasting and Research (SAFAR), and the country's air quality monitoring service by the ministry of earth sciences.
