If you’ve ever felt like the fashion industry doesn’t understand you, or that something must be wrong with you because you can’t find clothes to fit your physique, you are not alone. Here’s the thing: the average American woman wears a size 16 and about two-thirds of these women fall into the plus-size market. Think about it. Do you know the greatest female athlete of all time is? Sure, the Super Bowl was last night which is cool and all, but that makes paying homage to the greats that much more important. Did you know that only as recently as 1900 women were allowed to participate in the Olympics? Compare that to the centuries of men allowed to participate in this tradition, and you get the idea. Oh, and women's gymnastics debuted at the 1928 Olympics. Ridiculous. So the muse we’re investigating today is all of the above: she’s a rebel, a superstar, an accomplished athlete.
