This week's A Natter That Matters is with Emily Barclay. Aged 39, Emily started experiencing fatigue, weight gain, irrational rage and many other symptoms that she didn't understand. Over the next 3.5 years she had 13 doctor appointments in an attempt to understand why she no longer recognised herself. At the final of these appointments she learnt she was in perimenopause.
Upon trying to find the support and expert advice she needed, she discovered a distinct lack of resources, so set about bringing together experts who help women navigate this life stage. The associated Facebook group hit 100,000 members in early July, and is growing at a rate of over 4000 members per month.
Emily lives in South Norfolk with her partner and too many dogs.
