PART 2 - Many law enforcement professionals feel their service to their community is a calling - for Melissa she came from a family tradition of law enforcement. Steve loved to help those in need and served with the heart of the good Samaritan. Yet both suffered tremendous stress that took a toll on their mental and physical health - almost to the brink of death for both. Because of the stigma associated with asking for help and especially the fear around a PTSD diagnosis, many police officers suffer in silence.
