Georgian Banov is the founder of Global Celebration. He was born in the former Communist ruled country of Bulgaria. Starting as a youth in the first Rock n Roll band in Bulgaria, he brought revolution, through music, into Bulgaria. Yet, he was forced to flee the country and was able to escape Bulgaria with his life, which eventually led him to America where he met Jesus, was called into ministry, married Winnie, his wife of 43 years (2022), started Global Celebration and many other things. Georgian and I met in Maryland at a meeting of sorts via my friend Pastor Rich Brink and from there we stayed in touch. In this part one of a two part series, Georgian goes into details about his upbringing within and escape from Communism in Bulgaria.
