Daayiee Abdullah is a religious and legal scholar based out of Washington DC. He’s the executive director of MECCA Institute, an online-inclusive progressive seminary. The aim of this is for Muslims around the world to better understand their faith in an inclusive, modern interpretation. He is also one of the rare few openly gay imams in the US and worldwide.
