Bhagavad Gita 4.29,
apāne juhvati prāṇaṁ, prāṇe apānaṁ tathāpare | prāṇāpāna-gatī ruddhvā, prāṇāyāma-parāyaṇāḥ ||
Yet others offer as sacrifice the out-going breath into the in-coming breath, and the in-coming into the out-going. Restraining the flow of the outgoing and incoming breaths, solely absorbed in the regulation of the life-energy ||
