A very powerful interview as part of the recent “London Calling” visit by SBCR volunteers to London -
Tom Hanley and Jim Collins spoke with Katie Doyle and Sean Kaluarachchi, who told us their own personal stories and outlined the welfare support and advocacy services now available to former residents and survivors of Irish institutions through the Survivors Integrated Service based at the London Irish Centre in Camden. We would like to thank Katie and Sean for sharing their stories as well as detailing the services that the LIC provides to survivors all across the South of England
You can email Katie at community@londonirishcentre.org.
You can also visit the London Irish Centre’s website www.londonirishcentre.org for more information about the Survivors Integrated Service and other London Irish Centre services available.
And, if you in live in Britain and spent time in a Mother and Baby or County Institution as a mother or a child, you may be entitled to the Payment Scheme now available. Contact Séan on his freephone number 0800 519 5519 on Tuesdays Wednesdays or Thursdays between 10am and 4pm. Séan can help you access records relating to your time spent in the institution and can support you with making an application.
