James Meyers, III continues to consider what St. James says in the third chapter of his epistle about the extensive and potentially disastrous effects it can have. Using vivid illustrations, he illuminates the terrible ruin words can cause to their recipients. Even so, while this is a stark warning to the church at large, it is well for every Christian to pray for their preachers and teachers in particular, to ground them in the instruction of the Lord, embrace their calling in sober humility, and to ever strive to preach and teach to the Glory of God, and not of man.
