Another year of fortune is beginning in China, in our culture, the New Year's Day is the most important festival in China, fireworks pop high in the sky, and dragons dance in the streets when thousands of red lanterns glowing the night, all of these are very traditional customs in China pass down through the ages. The celebration lasts for fifteen magical days, full of family togetherness, delicious food, and good fortune. Chinese New Year is full with happiness.
In modern new year celebrations, people will watch the Spring Festival Gala together and enjoy delicious food. And as a part of the festivities, red envelopes which called Hongbao are passed out to children as well as unmarried adults, in Chinese culture, the color red symbolizes luck, and in order to receive the red envelopes, well-wishes are given to the elders, money is inside each envelopes to bring prosperity and good fortune in the coming year. In recent few years, a brand new fashion of red envelopes is popular among young people. In a communicated application Wechat( likes facebook), people will distribute red pockets in their Wechat group, and people who are in this group can receive money randomly, so people staring at the phone and try their best to snatch red pockets.
