Yuri Alex Gomez’ family had an entrepreneurial spirit early, as his dad was a real estate investor in their native Colombia, but not so much elsewhere. Unlike his dad, Yuri spoke fluent English, was education in the US, so Yuri realized that he could invest anywhere, especially in the United States where they had migrated to. While he was working a full time 9-5, he always felt ‘there were better things to do’ with his time and efforts. Although his coworker got into the short term rental business ‘by accident’, it opened Yuri’s eyes to the potential!

Yuri is a real estate investor with 8 years of experience and founder of Golands Capital. He is the owner and operator of 2 small multi-family buildings (which he rents long and short term), he is a house hacker and a private lender to fix and flip projects. Yuri has also invested in 594 units as an investment partner and is part of the management group in 3 projects out of a total of 576 units under management.
