But putting boundaries around that and not making your time accessible to everybody for everything is also okay. The way I like to think of it is think of yourself as an investment company or a private equity firm, if you will.

But they don't just go to any company who's got an idea and say, okay, well, here's $1,000,000, right? Think of your time as your investment portfolio, your capital that you'd be investing and like, what are you going to get out of that? Because if private equity companies invested into any company, they would likely fail.

00;00;39;12 - 00;00;56;08 Michael Stearns They put guidelines around the type of things that they want to see in order for it to make sense, for them to feel confident that they're going to get a return on that investment. You should do the same thing with your time. This will allow you to waste less time or mis invest time into things that aren't going to yield benefit to you and whatever that means.

Be pragmatic as far as and be cognizant of where you're investing that time and ultimately position yourself for success moving forward in the future.
