Joining us for our special edition of Little Italy of LA Podcast is Prince Emanuele Filiberto di Savoia, whose grandparents were the King and Queen of Italy. Emanuele grew up in Switzerland, eager to visit Italy but was unable until the government granted the family permission in 2003. He’s spent his life working and involved in philanthropic ventures, in California, for example, he raises money for Bruno Serato and his Caterina Club which feeds thousands of hungry boys and girls every day. The Prince recently opened an extremely successful food truck called The Prince of Venice Food Truck, which has been a HUGE success throughout LA, with a pasta machine on board making all pasta fresh by hand. Now, Emanuele is about to open a restaurant in Westwood near UCLA, which promises to be a huge success as it also makes all food from scratch.
