In order to manage the fallout of the Covid-19 pandemic, businesses and organizations have diversified their operations. With work-from-home/remote work finding increasing acceptance among a significant percentage of employers as well as employees, the use of virtual onboarding in the induction of new employees takes on greater importance.
Research shows that onboarding is crucial for longer tenures in organizations. Some studies claim that 1-in-5 new employees leave within just 45 days of joining! Therefore, onboarding and continued engagement are closely tied to employee retention and satisfaction.
Other studies indicate that a great onboarding experience resulted in 69 percent of employees staying with a company for more than three years, and being 50 percent more productive.
