In this episode of SOUNDS OF HEALING, Alvinette Downing, President of the Al Downing Tampa Bay Jazz Association, talks with Stephanie Ortiz a passionate leader, songwriter and creative force in the faith-based arts community. Called into the ministry and beginning to perform at the age of thirteen, she brings a deep commitment to youth ministry, leading a dynamic arts program that inspired creativity by expressing spirituality in the arts. Known for blending hip-hop, R&B and worship music, she and the arts program encourage young people to engage with their faith in meaningful, creative ways. In her personal life, music and faith came together to show her the way back when challenged by addiction and life's obstacles.
