The 2024 Nobel Prize for Economic Sciences was awarded to Daron Acemoglu, Simon Johnson, and James Robinson. Their work “for studies of how institutions are formed and affect prosperity” is particularly timely as we approach election day in the United States. “Societies with a poor rule of law and institutions that exploit their population do not generate growth or change for the better.” A very timely message as we approach the election.
