Extra Hour’s skating surfaces are designed to help players perform at their highest level, while the skating treadmill and training aids like slide boards, power skater machines, and Russian boxes enable players to train on proper posture and stride mechanics. With 35 years of coaching experience and immediate verbal and visual feedback, their power skating coaches are dedicated to helping players reach their optimal performance.
Cathy Andrade is a power skating instructor based in San Jose, CA and is widely recognized as the Bay Area's Power Skating Pioneer. She holds triple-gold CFSA certification, has trained extensively with two Olympians and has been a head coach for competitive figure skaters and community power skating. Cathy relocated to San Jose in 1992 and established the Bay Area's first formal power skating program known as Power Hour. Many coaches have adopted her techniques and she has been recognized nationally for her work. Cathy has also launched EXTRA HOUR Hockey Training Facility and POWER HOUR HOCKEY SCHOOL, both based on her philosophy of teaching solid fundamentals through a repetitive and progressive style.
So, come along as we take a tour of the Extra Hour Hockey Training Facility and see for yourself why players are enhancing their off-ice skills and accelerating their results to reach their full potential. Don't miss this episode, where we see how athletes achieve their hockey dreams.
