This stylized martial arts flick is the live action adaptation to the fighting game of the same name from 1996. Badass babes battle it out in a free-for-all beatdown tournament to see who is the world's greatest fighter. DOA is known for its problematic approach to sexualizing the female form (see DOA: Extreme Beach Volleyball). Mortal Kombat sold on ultra violence, Dead or Alive sold on sex. How well does the film handle the source material?
