Champions League never fails to live up to expectations, but it certainly does hurt when your team end up on the wrong side of a dramatic result.
Unfortunately that was the case with Celtic who hosted Lazio at a packed out Celtic Park and under the lights - paradise purely in it's perfect element.
The hosts broke the deadlock through Kyogo Furuhashi's fine finish, earning himself his first Champions League goal and sending Parkhead into raptures.
Lazio responded on the half hour mark with a scrappy finish which managed to find it's way over the goal line despite Joe Hart's best efforts.
Brendan Rodgers' side were in full control the second half up until Luis Palma's strike was cruelly but rightfully ruled out by VAR. To then rub salt in the wounds, Lazio found a late winner through Pedro, who directed his back post header across goal giving the Italians all three points on the night.
Newcastle hosted French giants, PSG on a rainy night at St James Park and was certainly a night to remember for the Geordie boys as they ran out 4-1 winners, giving them a huge boost in their pursuit of getting out of their group.
In Premier League news, we saw wins from Chelsea, Man United and a huge victory for Arsenal over league holders, Man City.
After falling to defeat to Middlesborough midweek, Cardiff came away with a fortunate point against Watford over the weekend despite a uncharacteristic performance from Erol Bulut's side.
Fennan & Mayhem take their places in the Booth to share their points and views on this week's football action before going into the international break.
