In this episode I share my experiences as a new officer, explaining how I found it difficult to transition into policing during the early part of my service.
So much so that I gave serious consideration to quitting, despite this being my dream job since I was a child!
I share experiences of real incidents, where I received either negative feedback or struggled to deal with what was in front of me.
One incident involves gang members attacking myself and a colleague, stealing a police baton and completely destroying a police vehicle!
To finish, I provide 6 mistakes to avoid during your Probation Period, in order to assist you in developing as an officer, as well as ensuring a healthy work-life balance
