ABOUT THE SPEAKER

Dr. LAKSHMI KUMAR is a well-known Educationist and Intercultural Coach.

As the Founder Director of The Orchid School, Pune and the visionary for educational process that is meaningful and relevant, she strives to bring teaching practices, methods, curriculum in alignment with today’s generation of learners. She specializes in Social studies, integrated, inter-disciplinary curriculum , inclusive education, and Life Skill Education for young adults, training them for media literacy, critical thinking and decision-making process.

Dr. Kumar specializes in training culture workers mainly from Sweden – teachers, social workers, lawyers, nurses – to work with multicultural communities. She has been a coordinator and academic supervisor for Sweden-India Project based in Orebro University and cooperation with other universities (Stockholm , Mid Sweden , Uppsala, Lund ) for last twenty-five years.

Her special competence is in training international assignees to Indian Business environment, especially the HR Processes like hiring, team building, leadership styles, feed back systems, communication styles etc. She comes with vast experience of working in Indian & Multi-cultural business, social and educational environment.
