NHL scribe Sean Gentille from The Athletic joined the show. Sean talked about what the next Sidney Crosby contract could look like. Sean thinks the Penguins are on the verge of being passed up by a handful of other teams in the Eastern Conference. He said it’s tough to even see them as a playoff team. Sean talked about the drop off we could see from Crosby in the latter stages of this next contract just based on others in NHL history. Where is this team when the page is turned on players like Evgeni Malkin and/or Kris Letang? Sean had some thoughts on the hotdog eating contest from last week.
