This week on the podcast we have arguably two of the finest players to have come out of the SDCC production line, current Scotland captain Kyle Coetzer MBE and Gordon Goudie!
They discuss growing up at Stoneywood Dyce where they both learnt the game, earmarking Grant Dugmore and Steve Knox as two key figures, among others, in helping them flourish at SDCC as they moved through the junior and senior ranks at a young age.
They both then go on to discuss leaving SDCC at the ripe age of 17: Gordon to go down to the Young Cricketer's programme in London and Kyle to join the Durham Academy set up.
They also discuss what was always the pinnacle of their careers: pulling on a Scotland strip. They both discuss their Scotland debuts, best performances and much, much more!
What is evident throughout the podcast is that SDCC had a huge impact on both Kyle and Gordon's careers. It is also very clear that both of them realise and appreciate that, and that they will always cherish and love the club.
