Meanwhile, Everyday New Yorkers bid good riddance to congestion pricing after the shock announcement that she’ll indefinitely pause the detested toll program. It’s a slithery mystery. A 5-foot-long snake was trying to get inside an Upper West Side apartment— and no one’s sure where it came from, cops and the man who found it said. And overseas, as the sun sets on the D-Day generation, it rose again over Normandy beaches where soldiers fought and died exactly 80 years ago, kicking off intense anniversary commemorations against the backdrop of renewed war in Europe, in Ukraine.
