“Our emotions are like our very own personal alarm system,” says Dr. Sherry Skyler Kelly https://positiviteens.com/ , https://mindandheartcoaching.com/ a Licensed Clinical Psychologist with more than 30 years of experience counseling children and families. She has written a new children’s book called Your Tiger Inside https://yourtigerinside.com/, and it turns out we can all learn a few things from it about how to understand our emotions, and use them to enrich our lives and relationships. Dr. Kelly suggests we ask, “what” questions instead of, “why” questions when having big emotions. So instead of, “Why do I always have these problems?” ask, “What is this feeling trying to tell me? And, “What action can I take to empower myself?” Such a wonderful shift in perspective and attitude. Listen in for more of Dr. Kelly’s helpful advice.
