Holly Smale has been weaving stories since she was just four years old, crafting her own books out of cereal boxes and sticky-tape, and ensuring her family gave her glowing reviews by commandeering the television. From teen-modelling and factory work to teaching in Japan and a chaotic stint as the world's worst waitress, Holly's path to publication is filled with colorful experiences. With a BA in English Literature and an MA in Shakespeare from Bristol University, Holly brings a wealth of knowledge and humor to her writing journey. Diagnosed as both autistic and dyspraxic at the age of 39, Holly passionately writes and speaks about neurodiversity, adding depth and authenticity to her work.

Holly's debut children's novel, GEEK GIRL, skyrocketed to the No.1 Young Adult title in the UK, winning the Waterstones YA Book Prize and selling 3.4 million copies in 30 languages. Currently in development with Netflix, this phenomenal book has captured the hearts of readers worldwide. Holly will share insights into her debut adult novel, THE CASSANDRA COMPLEX (UK)/ CASSANDRA IN REVERSE (US), a Reese's Book Club Pick, BBC Radio 2 Book Club pick, and Aardvark Book Club pick.
