Their sleek style was sophisticated, taut, and lean, with infectious rhythms propelled by Rodgers' searing guitar, Edwards' melodic bass,Tony Thompson's unpredictable drums, and the lustrous harmonies of singers including Alfa Anderson, Luci Martin, Fonzi Thornton, and Michelle Cobbs.
