Grackle is an original, Louisville, Kentucky-based rock band that formed in 2015. They have released two albums, played over 50 shows in the region, and developed a strong following based on their mesmerizing live shows. The band is defined by unique instrumentation, featuring violin/saxophone (Myra Kean) and cello (Travis Carlisle) in addition to keyboards (Steve Katsikas), bass (Mike Lankford), and Drums (Jeff Gard). Their music has been described as "proudly guitarless" as it blends elements of indie and progressive rock, modern musical theater, and classical elements into driving and careening arrangements that zig and zag without regard to boundaries and genre-restricted sensibilities.
